ABOUT US
OVERVIEW

Governance and Structures

Initiatives of Change is open to all and operates with a minimum of structured organisation. Persons wishing to participate in the activities of IofC (Canada) may do so without being required to take out membership or pay annual fees. Initiatives of Change Association (Canada) was federally incorporated as The Oxford Group in Canada by Letters Patent in May, 1944 and recognized as a Charitable Organization by the Canadian Department of National Revenue in December of the same year. A Council of Management of seven members, acting on behalf of the membership, is responsible for policy and for legal and financial affairs. Goals, strategies and priorities are set through ongoing consultations with those who seek to live out and apply IofC's values and approaches. A core of eleven field workers across Canada helps integrate initiatives and provides support.
