Marlene Orr

Marlene Orr is a member of Fort McKay First Nation, the heart of Alberta’s oil sands. She is a business woman, a mother and grandmother. She became passionate about the need for good governance when serious health problems caused by air and water pollution from the surrounding oil industry forced her to move away from her northern Alberta community. Marlene is currently program director of an Edmonton agency providing services for the poor and homeless.
