Canadian support needed for Encuentro

Helena von Armin, from Colombia is one of the organizers of a conference to be held next February in her country. “Canadians are an important part of the envisioned adventure of weaving one community out of three (North, Central and South) Americas because….what would the American continent be without Canadians?”

A delegation from Quebec took part in two of the summer conferences at Caux: Just Governance and Healing History. They write of their experience: "Each testimony of peace and reconciliation shared at Caux is the fabric in which hope and the will to change within and without is woven. Through discernment, we believe that we are called to engage with others in bridge-building between the First Nations and Québécois in the spirit of Initiatives of Change"

Dok Virak is a young Cambodian friend of Peter Heyes, a long-time member of IofC Canada and an honorary member of the Asia Pacific Regional Group (APRG.) Peter has been involved with IofC in Cambodia and other Asian countries for a number of years. He is happy to see IofC ideas take root in that once-troubled country. Peter sends us this story of how Virak uses techniques learned at IofC conferences in Asia and Caux.

Update CAUX International Film Archive Project Year 3

Thanks to the financial support of IofC Canada and the Swiss Caux Fondation, Chris Hartnell was again able to work this summer alongside filmmaker Jean-Denis Borel, archivist Eliane Stallybrass and Ian Corcoran, a film editor from the UK, on the Caux International Archive Film Project.
