For close to 80 years, Initiatives of Change Canada has been working at
building trust. As we look at the important and heartbreaking issues around
us, we believe that each person has something unique to contribute to
building a just, peaceful and sustainable world. IofC’s approach of ’Starting
with Oneself’, ‘Listening to our Inner Voice and Others’, and 'Taking
Focused Action’ are things we can all take to heart and in which all can have
a part. Taking action gives us a sense of belonging.
In 2024 IofC Canada is developing its community through fellowship across Canada and offering younger, and not so young, people training to build on their community development skills.
We are doing this through:

Joseph Vumiliya bringing together young adults in discussions on
issues that concern them -
Working with new immigrants on bridging cultural differences,
listening to their needs, and healing the wounds of the past -
Training the Trainers initiatives will train facilitators in a series of
online Peace Circles and Trustbuilding
We continue to make the relationship between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples a priority in our work through initiatives by individuals.
