The fifth Harambee Leadership Programme was held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia in October 2009. Ms. Shaneeza Nazseer (front row, second from L, wearing a cap and scarf) from Toronto, Ontario was one of the 18 participants

On 16 October the fifth Harambee Leadership Programme got under way. The Programme brought together 18 participants from 7 countries to explore ethical leadership in the 21st Century Africa. A Canadian woman, Shaneeza Nazseer, is one of the participants.

For the last five years IofC’s Canadian operations have been headquartered in Calgary. As of October 1, many of the administrative functions returned to IofC Canada’s Ottawa office.

"Even though forgiving is freeing, it is very hard to do" said a participant at the first of a series of Movie Nights in the Ottawa / Gatineau area. The idea of Movie Night is to use IofC’s many archival and modern films and videos to provide an experience of both fellowship and of deep sharing, inspired by IofC values and stories.
