Three members of Calgary's IofC team participated in a community event , which was titled "The Courage to Stand Together Against Discrimination Forum". It was sponsored by the Calgary Centre for Culture, Equity and Diversity and about 150 attended.

The Director of Advancement, Bill Parker, accompanied by his wife Judy, spent some days on the west coast meeting local team members, new people and 2 students at UBC, one of whom had been a Caux Intern in 09. Topics of discussion ranged from Fund raising, planning for events at UBC, to enlisting more people

On January 3, 2010, at an IofC gathering in Edmonton, a new video WE Are, was shown. Two of the people involved in its production were present, Seneca Crowe, 14 year old grade nine student introduced the video and told about how she and her friends produced it with the help of her mother, Charlene Bearhead.

The fifth Harambee Leadership Programme was held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia in October 2009. Ms. Shaneeza Nazseer (front row, second from L, wearing a cap and scarf) from Toronto, Ontario was one of the 18 participants

On 16 October the fifth Harambee Leadership Programme got under way. The Programme brought together 18 participants from 7 countries to explore ethical leadership in the 21st Century Africa. A Canadian woman, Shaneeza Nazseer, is one of the participants.
